Srdjan M. Djindjić was born on 08th August1961 in Skopje. He finished primary school and The First Grammar School in Kragujevac. He graduated from the Faculty of Economy in Kragujevac in 1986. He completed the postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economy in Belgrade, subject: The policy of economic development, department: Economic development. He defended his master thesis titled The main factors and directions of structural changes in the industry of Serbia on 6th April 1993 at the Faculty of Economy in Belgrade. He defended his PhD thesis on 16th February 2001 at the Faculty of Economy in Kragujevac.
25th June 1986 he had worked at the Faculty of Economy in Kragujevac as a teaching assistant, since 11the January as an assistant, and since 9th July 2001 he has been working as a docent. At the undergraduate level he was engaged in the subjects Economics of Industry, Industrial Management, Fiscal Managementand Public Finances, and at the postgraduate level of the Faculty in the subject Comparative Tax Systems. Now he has been teaching ,at the undergraduate level of the Faculty the subject Public Finances, at the master level the subject Comparative Tax Systems, and at the doctorate level the subject International Tax Planning.
The main areas of his scientific-research work are: public financies, tax systems and tax policy, international taxation and tax planning, fiscal management.
He published his own book, numerous scientific-expert works and chapters in different monographs. He participated in instructional seminars, scientific conferences and congresses, both in the country and abroad.
He took part in some projects financed by the Government of Republic of Serbia (1991-1995, 1996-2000, 2002-2005, 2011-2014), was a member of the Republic Fund for Development of Scientific and Art Youth and a member of the Council of Faculty. Now he is a member of the editorial of the journal Economic Horizons, published by the Faculty of Economy in Kragujevac.
